Happiness

Opened a new can of coffee this morning, that rich aroma caressing my senses. Love that so much. And it dawned on me that truly, it is the little things that make life great. That's what I like, opening new things. Coffee, peanut butter, DVDs...whatever. That 'new' scent that comes out of something that's vacuum-packaged and ready for your enjoyment. Such is commercialism.

April Kat is staying by my side more than a 2-year-old. Just won't leave me alone. She's been like this since coming back from Brooke's house. Makes me wonder what psychological terror was performed on her to be so needy all of a sudden with me. Sister? Any ideas? ;)

My good friend Adam should be coming down from his kingdom up North later this month. The one time of year he makes his way out of Yankee territory and visits us hillbillies in Oklahoma. Would like to visit with him and his brother, whom I don't see nearly enough of as I would like.

Before you ask Christy, no, haven't started Season 5 yet. I know, I'm a terrible person. Just ask Paul about "Legends" and he's sure to roll his eyes and say it's that all over again. ;) I promise to have this done before 10 grade starts up though...

I dropped my toothbrush in the toilet yesterday afternoon, so last night after work I got to pick out a new one. Something about picking out new toothbrushes is just a Wonka-esque experience for me. There's so many kinds, with different firmness and bristles, some with tongue scrapers, polishing heads, rubber grips. Some, with all three... This goes back to the whole "new thing' thing, trying new things, opening new things, looking for new deodorant...fresh AND active, trying a new bath soap, and oh is this shower gel peach-scented? I must really try that. What's that? 80 cents off of Suave conditioner today? Can't pass up a bargain. Man, I'm such a chick.

Anyway, sitting here this morning, drinking my new coffee. My freshly-brewed-out-the-newly-opened-can coffee. Not bad. Little things. Little things. Little things can make or break a life. Just have to take time and have the imagination to find those little things so as not to go mad in this spirit-crushing life.

Fresh coffee.

Quick links. When engineering nerds and Christmas come together, the results are simply amazing. The logistics of the timing alone are crazy, nevermind programming all of it. Please check those out. Chevy Chase's house from Christmas Vacation is nothing.

Haha... it was a purply and green brontosaurus kid-sized one. :)
Actually it was some Colgate 360 ToothMaster-2K. Very cool toothbrush. This one had tiny green nubbins on the back to scrub one's tongue and a blue grippy gel-pad for brushing one's teeth during adverse conditions. Very hardy.

Sadly, that video is multiple images patched together in time with the music.

Although, I concede that it's very possible, and I've already worked out equipment necessary to implement it...

...and it looks like the Lexapro is starting to work.

I can feel the rise of seratonin levels. Is nubbins a word? And what exactly constitutes adverse tooth brushing conditions?

Boots wouldn't leave little April Kat the hell alone....he liked it when April would kick his ass I guess, now she feels scared to death I'm sure....oh well, she is your pet and it's good for the both of you to mingle every now and again. Before she seemed stray..now she's dependent!

Glad to hear of all the things you got to open today...it's nice to open new things, especially if they've got a yummy scent! ;)

You'll be coming home for the weekend of the 10th, right?

Yes! The Brain of Jay is a happy one again! That Lexapro is a miracle. Love it like I love corn dogs. And I love me some corn dogs... :-)

Bib, 'nubbins' are tiny tiny little bristles on the back of my toothbrush. The package didn't have any kind of fancy name for them, so I thought I would use my own. Now I can 'wolf my clacks' with ease.

And Brooke, I'm going to try my best to be off that day. Chances are I will have to ask somebody if they can work for me, since it's a normal Saturday and we only have three people working. With a person gone, there's a chance it might be too much for three people, so I have to talk to my lead tonight and find out the deal. I'll let you know.

And as for the Christmas light movie, it's real. Snopes confirmed it. http://www.snopes.com/photos/arts/xmaslights.asp
